Here is the story
Basically the main difference between protein synthesis in prokaryotes (bacteria) and eukaryotes (mammalian cell) is the ribosomes used to carry it out.
Eukaryotes 80s
Prokaryotes 70s
Now, basically the ribosomes bind to the DNA copyied along with the TRNA. How the antibiotics work is they chemically bind to the ribosomes thus preventing the ribosome from binding to the DNA to even start protein synthesis. Now, these same antibiotics cannot bind to the eukaryotic ribosome because it is structurally different thus the ribosome in us humans remains able to carry out the mechanisms they need to. This is why antibiotics will not hinder your gains period...
