Do antibiotics hinder gains????

YES they do hinder gains, but not much at all-it just depends how sick you are- if you are sick for a week or so, I would just stop the J.U.-Ice for a week then get right back on when you're better-just lookin out bro.

I got an infection from my first bicep shot. Went to the doc and got a script for 7 days worth of penicillin. That was right at the start of the cycle, I'm now at the beginning of week 3 and I'm up 15 pounds, so I don't think they hindered all that much.

well it seems whatever i had is slowly going away, so i guess there's no need to AB's at this point. Though i'm sure medicine would have cured it up right away..oh well. thanks guys...

I'm on tetracycline for acne right now, and I'm not on a cycle and I'm still making gains.

Have you noticed that your natural gains are coming more slowly then they normally would? Since Tetracycline inhibits protein synthesis.

not at all. I asked my doc about hindering protein absorption and he said it wouldn't be a problem. With the amount of protein you and I probably eat, a little tetra wouldn't hurt. Also, that's why you're supposed to take tetra on an empty stomach and not eat until at least an hour after you've taken it

the normal bacteria in the gut is partly responsible for "pulling" steroid structures(estrogens, progesterones, androgens) across the intestinal wall and into the blood stream. antibiotics kill this important good bacteria as well as the bacteria that has made you sick.

they ONLY interfere with oral roids not injectables.

hmm.....sounds good. I guess this is how anti-b's interfere with protein absorption?
