It depends on what you are talking about. Someone with a degree in accounting or finance who is working in accounts receivable at a corporation will do ok but nothing to brag about. Big 4 accountants are a different story. If she works for a Big 4 and her title is Manager or Senior Manager she is doing very well for her age.

Her husband must work for PWC as they are the only one who can claim not to be number 4 depending on how you measure it. KPMG is the smallest in the USA but not when you include foreign operations.

In Houston and Dallas most staff accountants working at appreciably large accounting firms start off at $50k (like me). Once you get your CPA is goes way up from there. I would say youre at 100k in 4-5 years if youre a CPA at a big accounting firm.
