Ok, this is my first post on Elite. Just thought I'd throw in my experience on this (my first) DNP cycle. First, my starting stats:
5'11", 221# @ 12%, 25 y/o, lifting for 8 yrs
I just completed a 5 wk cycle of T3/slin prior to starting the DNP
(T3 at 50-75-100-75-50 with slin used at 6-8iu post-lifting).
DNP is 200mg powder in capsule form. Also used a topical yohimbine (Lipoderm-Y) twice a day on abs/obs/lumbar and around nipples.
Day 1: 200mg -> started feeling warm in 2-3 hrs with a little sweating but no real sides
Day 2: 200mg -> noticed a little increased warmth and light sweating as well as some fatigue during cardio
Day 3: bumped to 400mg (200mg in AM and post-workout) ->
noticed a little more sweating, yellow discoloration of urine, but
other than that the only annoying side was difficulty sleeping (woke up every hour or two with the sheets damp but not soaked), also some minor water retention (mostly on the areas
where lipoderm was applied)
Days 4-8: 400mg, sides pretty much the same, cardio is still
difficult (mainly just doing the treadmill now) but lifting is not
a problem aside from increased sweating, no strength loss,
noticeable increase in muscle definition but definitely feel like
my muscles are flat which was expected
Weight on day 8 (today) is 217#...will wait for the water to drop off the next 4-5 days and see what the final verdict is. But all in all I was very pleased and plan on taking 7 days off and doing another 7 day cycle (starting at 400 and working up to 600 after
3 days if tolerable).
Diet consisted of high protein, medium carb, and low fat with about 3/4 of the carbs coming from fruit sources (still can't get myself to drink "regular" soda). Drank at least 2 gallons of water
a day.
Supplementation consisted of Vitamin C, E, Calcium, Magnesium,
Taurine, Glycerol (3 tbsp divided), Pyruvate, Milk Thistle, Zinc, and
Iron.
All in all it worked as I expected and the sides were very tolerable and only mildly annoying. Of course I'm in IL and it's winter which makes it much easier to deal with the heat. I'd
definitely think twice before doing a DNP cycle in the middle of summer. I'm hoping that after the water falls off I'll have an end result of ~5lbs of fat loss. Also, definitely looking forward to the rebound strength gains next week! I may bridge w/ slin post-workout as well to fill my muscles up w/ glycogen quickly.
