Are you and I truly polar opposites? I think not, yet the question lingers.

A wee parable:





I once new a grandfather of 90 years and happened upon him on a day when he was planting an almond tree.

"Grandfather, why? You know it takes 12 years for an almond tree to bare fruit!"

"My son, I live each day as though I should never die."

"I live each day as though I should die the next." Which of us is right?







Two equally steep, yet bold, paths may lead to the same peak, is that not so?

We are all going to die, naked and alone on fields not of our own choosing, so....

I'm with you, plan to live for ever, waste nothing of today. Pretty basic stuff but as real as salt.

Decisions are easy, actions are the rub. It feels good to be in action.
