No, Crash was about racism in America.

Yes, you're right. But it took place in L.A. Sure it's applicable to the rest of America. Paul Haggis chose L.A. because it's a mixing pot for many ethnicities. But then agian, so is America. So I see exactly what you are saying.

Can you imagine the Hollywood people teaching you the values you should live by?

I find them the most shallow, dumb and pretentious group of spoiled humans in the world. Look at their family life!

You bet they blinked at Brokeback. Capote is one thing... he was funny and wrote well. But a bunch of sheep herdering rump rangers? LOL

Oh ... and Crash. I saw that dog flick on a rental for Blockbuster months ago. Just another libel mess teaching us brotherhood. Sorry Hollywood. I don't need that speech to know right from wrong.

Hustle and Flow? Almost a good movie. Not bad at all.

Not a real outstanding winner in the whole crowd.

Yeah whats up with that?

Does conservatism breed homosexuality?

Within each extreme lies the seed for the opposite extreme.

Therefore I predict Wodin's offspring will probably become the next producer of the Rush Limbaugh show.

I also predict AAP's offspring will most likely become Jerry Falwell's personal spokesman.

I couldn't give a rabbit turd less about Hollywood. Who thinks that anyone from there lives in the real world? If Bareback Mounting is a good movie so be it. I'm never going to see it myself. Not because I believe it is forwarding a gay "agenda", but because it's a predictable love story, perfect for the Oxygen Network.

Longhorn gonna be disappointed in you. For dismissing the entire thing as a gay agenda plot.

I'm a fiscal conservative. For the most part, I don't care what goes on between two or more consenting adults.

Hollywood (even Broadway) has always pushed some sort of "agenda". Certain agendas (like acceptance of homosexuality) are more blatant now, but it isn't like they didn't exist in movies from the 50's, 60's, 70's and so on.

Interesting that Brokeback took over 7 years to get made and that the writers had to go to an independent outside of LA to get the project off the ground but still its a "hollywood" agenda. Much like Iraq had wmd this is a lot of vapor.

So you disagree with the statement I quoted (not my words) in the first post?

" Everyone watching knew this was a chance for the Academy to take a stand on what is arguably one of the most controversial issues of our time. "
