Dislocated shoulder 5x5

New member
Hey fella’s

I have just recovered from a dislocated shoulder,
And about to hit the gym again

I haven’t been able to go to the gym for almost 6 months while it recovers

Now im waiting to start up slow, back into my 5x5 routine,

Do you think I should hit the machines to start off with?

I think you should always incorporate machine work with free weight work. I think you should just keep the weight light and keep progressing with it nice and slowly. Worse thing ya could do is rush it and get hurt again. I def think you should do free weight and machine work.. Ex. Flat dumbell or barbell presses same for incline and maybe hit up the pec deck or do incline flyes with cables.

You dont have to use the machine if you dont want to. I would start out with lights weight all around though and pace yourself. I would start the 5*5 for at least 6 weeks.
