Apologies for makign a separate topic, but it deserves one.

The biggest need for disaster relief from the tsunami disaster is in the form of monetary aid.

Amazon.com lets you donate direct to the Red Cross directly through their website, and I was astounded by the response:
http://s1.amazon.com/paypage/PX3BEL97U9A4I/104-8984000-1393534
As of this post:
Total Collected: $3,910,991.19
# of Payments: 66072

just two nights ago it was only $300,000. Go people!

man Amazon gets alot of traffic! lol

this site alone has a bunch of people who always say how well off they are... making 6 and 7 digit incomes... time to buck the fuck up and help out some people who are really in need.... i make shit but i know that even 20 bucks is a little help... if we all give 10 - 20 dollars we can raise a LOT of money... we have a ton of members on this board...

well that's a damn good way to get traffic to your site! Amazon's got some smart folks on their team! :)

Uh....

People...make sure this is a legit donation setup. Look at the url. It isn't www.amazon.com. It's www.s1.amazon.com. Even the links on that page are mostly sent to duplicate clone amazon pages.

Not saying this isn't legit, but I seen so many gouls trying to make a buck off this suffering.

Also, note...

This page is actually separate from the official donation link on www.amazon.com. I think this may actually be a scam, like that last tread. Moderators, it's your responsibility to check this out.

If it is legit, please help them out!

....I've personally sent out an email to amazon's security team with the details.
