when if first satrted training i used to do dips every chest workout, then i stopped doing them for a while... now every time i try n do them its really quite painfull for my shoulders... any sugestions to get past this?
thanks!

It may be you leg positioning. Try keeping your legs forward under the body not towards the rear of the body it may help

Try keeping your triceps closer to your body. This will target your tris more more it should take the pain away, I had the same sort of problem.

If ur aiming to target ur chest though, its fine i'm assuming to have ur legs to rear? (it doesn't cause me shoulder issues)

keeping my elbows inward towards my body during the exercise alleviated pretty much all the shoulder pain dips used to cause me

hmm thats strange, when I done/do dips for chest It kills my shoulders (with elbows faceing out) But the elbows close to my body feels alot better, for me anyway.

that's exactly what my post said

Well keeping your elbows in and your head back will work your triceps. Putting your elbows out more and leaning in will work the chest. Depends what you're doing dips for.
