Dimel Deadlifts???

A Dimel DL is bascially a half dl. Take the bar with a slight wider than usual conventional stance and a slightly wider than usual hand spacing. This lift is done very dynamically in the lowering and raising of the bar. You will have your hands on the bar at all times. But, you will almost drop the bar from the lockout position and catch it just below your knees and return to just shy of lockout. Keep all the tension on the posterior chain. You will focus on pushing your glutes to the rear and keeping a tight arch.

Don't forget the higher reps. It is usually done for like 20 reps at maybe 40-50% of your dl max. The higher number would be for us beginners and less accomplished lifters. The lower number would be for more elite type lifters.
 
so both the positive and negative are performed in an explosive manner?

isnt this sort of like a romanian dead without the quick lowering of the bar?
