Different Overhead movements

I want to start rotating different overhead movements. What do you think:

Push Press
Military Press (strict)
Seated Press (no back support)

What else to do? Maybe Push Jerk?

How about doing standing military until near failure, then switching to push presses/jerks, on the one set? I'm a fan of that :)

Yeah, I've done that. Those are tough. Thanks Z.

well........... for a little strongman implementation.

pick a weight clean it and see how many times you can press it in 75 seconds. unlimited set downs.

or for a real cardiovascular workout. pick a weight. clean and press, set down. clean and press and sit down. for as many times in 75 seconds.

or for fun try like what zander said but with this twist.

either clean up the weight or just unrack it standing. then press in a strict manner untill you can get no more. then start doing a push press..... which means only 1 knee bend and explode up. then when you cant do anymore, begin push jerking. 2 knee bends. one to get the weight going up, the 2nd to let the arms lockouts and squat under the weight.

that sounds like fun!!!!

Thanks X - I'm going to copy/paste that. Brutal stuff. Haven't got the double knee bend figured out yet :)

speaking of which, that reminded me to tell you on your push press, dont dip your knees so much. you dont need to go down that far to get good leg drive. Bfold explained it to me like this, just make up your mind, then dip down fast and come up faster.

some of the strongman with the best overhead push jerks and presses, dip down like maybe 2-4 inches.
