The whole reality TV thing is a bit of a face, in that the time these people spend enduring hardships infront of millions of TV viewers, a half dozen cameramen, directors, lighting staff, etc; it's the furthest thing from "reality" there is.

With that said, I'd absolutely love the chance to compete for money by losing bodyfat. I'd simply bulk up to 230 pounds or so, cause It all would be gone in 6 weeks guaranteed. I'm pretty much in tune with my body/metabolism, and can manipulate it as needed. Where do I sign up.
