Diet for a new tongue piercing?

I don't know if I'm just a dumb badass or something cause I wasn't about to let my piercing stop me from eating. I ate normal food an hour after I got it done. Granted it was slower than usual but I ate. Oh yea I used the mouth rinse religiously, like ever 15 minutes haha.
