Diet for a new tongue piercing?

MRP shakes sucked up through a straw would be best I'd imagine.

Actually, that's the last thing you want to do. Sucking a shake through a straw will be very painful and will cause bleeding and irritation. Don't use straws at all for the first week.

I learned that the hard way. It hurts like hell to suck through a straw. I had to eat slurpees with the spoon part of the straw

i have mine pierced and the only thing you'll be eating the next day is icecream and applesauce. no oral either for 6 weeks. have fun.

I'm dying to get my tongue pierced, but what I can (or can't) eat during the time while it heals is holding me back. My diet right now consists of tofu, cottage cheese, protein powders, broccoli, tomatoes, bell peppers, and occasionally fibrous berries and protein bars.

Have any of you who follow a bodybuilding-type diet had your tongue done, and if so, did you stick to it while the piercing healed? What kinds of food could you absolutely not eat? Do you see any problems with the foods I listed above?

Thanks in advance, and karma to anyone who helps.

A large amount of people can't eat hard foods right after.. I was able to, so the only thing I had to keep away from was Spicy/hot stuff.

hey ive had mine for about 3 years now and the first couple days after you get it pierced you're not really gonna be able to eat anything. you dont realize how much your tongue actually does in there until you cant use it. also you cant eat dairy for 2 weeks or drink beer because of the bacteria. i just ate pasta and chewed it on my molars for the first 2 days then you'll be fine but it just hurts. dont get me wrong its def worth it. i would probably give up a toe or something before my tongue ring i labsolutely luv i. i just got one that vibrates and i havent gottne to "use" it yet but every girl's face who ive told about it has just lit up so im expecing a good response.

Ceebs, ask the piercer. He will give you the best advice. Although my wife had hers done years ago and she ate what she wanted and gave me a blow job a few hours later. Hey, I was dying to know what it felt like!:D

Thank you. Post-pierce pre-blowjob healing time was another concern of mine - I'd heard anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. Good to hear that it can be less in some cases. And I'm sure that you just scored big points with my man.

SofaGeorge, I don't need an excuse to eat Ben & Jerry's. Please don't give me one. ;) (Fuuuuuudge centraaaal...)

I hit as many of you with karma as I could, thanks for the responses.

it depends on the person and how quickly you may heal. i was eating real food the next day, and didn't experience much swelling.

plan on four days of eating soup and yogurt and such....but after that you should be fine.

as far as the head. i think you should still wait at least 2 weeks.........just wait and see how it feels.
