lost and confused.
I need some advice on my diet. I seem to be stuck at 165 lbs and around 12% (approximation) body fat. I am 5"9 and 41 years old.
I am trying to lose fat but I cant seem to go any lower than 165 lbs. I am an endomorph as I know for a fact that I have a very slow metabolism and I am very sensitive to carbs. On top of that I hold a ton of water even if I drink 4-5 liters of water daily. My salt intake is also fairly low as I don't use salt at all in my cooking.
I take in about 1800 calories daily and they consist of very clean protein, good fat and mainly green vegetables. I am on the zig-zig diet. On my low days (Sat, Sun, Tues, Wed, Thurs) I have only half cup of oats in the morning and the rest of my carbs come from green vegetables (mainly green beans and broccoli. I will also have a banana in my post work-out shake. I eat 5-6 meals daily and workout 3-4 times a week including weights and cardio. I have not had junk food in years. I have a carb-up day on (Mon and Fri) where I will reduce the good fat by a bit and add 1 cup of brown rice and 12-15oz of sweet potato, and 1 brown pita bread in my early meals. I would really appreciate any feedback and please keep in mind that I am an endomorph so the advice has to be catered for my body-type.
Note: I really feel that I should have a LOT more to show for all the damn effort I am putting in. I feel that I am just missing some component to this "black-magic" formula to losing fat for endomorphs.
Thanks in advance,
