I recently finished a 4-week 19-Tren TFO / Dieselbolan cycle (currently on PCT). I was using it to maintain mass while dropping fat, and it was my first foray into the PH / steroid world since 2003 (did a short 3 weeks DBol / 6 Weeks Test-E cycle for the hell of it).
My information here will be anecdotal, and my numbers won't be spectacular in terms of weight gain, but that's because I was eating at maintenance calories, in an effort to lose fat.
Caveats: As a preface to the results, let me say that:
- My goal was not to get massive, but rather assist in retaining muscle while dropping some fat.
- I have been lifting for over 20 years, but have never been 'serious' about things. I have sustained a back injury in 1993 that has scared me away from serious heavy lifting, so I don't really kill the weights.
- I have been off and on in the gym for the past year or two. Work, kid(s), wife, school, slacking, playing hockey = no primary focus on weights. I was VERY motivated once this cycle started however.
- I work out in a very nicely equipped home gym, but work out alone with no spotter
- I felt a tear in my left pec while benching at the end of week 2, which effectively limited (and continues to limit) my chest work. No chest-pushing exercises right now, and even things like triceps extensions / chinups were compromised as a result of the injury. Very annoying, as I was starting to hit my stride.
- On the average, I think I have normal test levels, but am not a raging hormone normally. Body type is long and lean, and it's only through hard work / getting slightly pudgy that I'm the size I am now.
Cycle:
1-4: 19 Tren TFO / Dieselbolan
1-4: Cycle Support / Liv-52
4-8: Sustain Alpha, Post-Cycle, Unleashed
Stats: 6'4, 250lbs. ~ 18-20% BF.
Diet: was VERY clean while on. Occasional cheat snacks, but otherwise: chicken, eggs, oatmeal, quinoa, veggies, steak, etc.
My results were as follows:
Strength gains: Substantial. I would say that all of my lifts increased significantly.
- My front squat went from a comfy 155x8 to 205x10.
- Shoulder press: 135 x 10 to 155 x 8.
- Barbell curl: 95 x 10-12 to 115 x 8-10
- DB Shoulder Press: 60 x 8-10 to 70 x 10
- Barbell hacks: 155 x 10 to 205 x 10
I'd have to go look at the log book to find some more examples, but everything increased. Substantially. Whether it was from the increased effort to the psychosomatic effect of being 'on', to the muscles just responding to me lifting what I could/should be lifting, I felt stronger in every respect.
Body Composition:
- I felt and looked leaner in the mirror and in reality. I could finally start to see my abs starting to pop through my fat (lol), and I was at the leanest I have been in about 10 years (not saying a lot there, but still). Realistically, I figure I dropped 1% BF, and EVERYTHING tightened up.
- Pumps were AWESOME. I loved being on. By the end of the 4th week, the constant 'swole' feeling was beginning to decrease, but from about mid-week two to the end of four, I felt like a fucking god. All muscles felt hard, and engorged quickly when worked. I got a really sweet vein popping out in my biceps that I really enjoyed looking at.
- Everything looked bigger - from my delts, to my arms, quads, chest, back, legs. I looked better.
- I will see if I have a pic that actually shows something. Being slightly fat to start with (and pasty white), it's hard to see a significant change, but I knew what was going on, and my wife (unaware of the cycle) noticed I was looking better.
- Weight: Went from about 250 @ 18-20% to 252 @ 17%. Hard to say though, as I carry fat predominantly on my love handles, abs and chest/armpit area. I felt and looked leaner though.
Psychological/Physiological:
- Felt great all the time, due to the swole feeling. Having your muscles just hardening up and looking firmer / larger all the time made me feel like a titan.
- Minor tiredness perhaps, but hard to say it was attributable to the products. I didn't get as much sleep as I should have.
- No real impact on the dick, but since wife was 9 months prego, and I wasn't in any hurry to speed the baby along, I wasn't jumping at the chance to get in there and possible get the baby moving (sex can expedite the birth process). So my hand helped me through the cycle, and the boners were still solid. Maybe not spectacular. I would say that post-cycle, my libido is def. down.
- No apparent side effects aside from perhaps a lowered libido. Maybe a few zits on the back, but minor, and could be attributed to shaving off the back hair. No gyno / face acne / etc.
- Currently on week 2 of PCT (Sustain / Post Cycle / Unleashed). Starting to feel normal again, but have dropped to 247 or so, and have nowhere near the constant swole feeling.
I blame any change / drop in mass on my diet / habits since 2nd child was born.
Lessons Learned / What I would do differently next time:
- My wife gave birth to our second child midway through the 4th week, which effectively halted any working out. Spent several days at the hospital or taking care of Kid #1, so didn't focus on the weights. So - don't have babies while on cycle.
- Continue with the diet into the post-cycle. The whole baby thing put the diet on the backburner, so I didn't retain the mass I'd gained, but I was okay with that. The initial goal was to lose fat / retain muscle, as opposed to put on mass. If I was trying to grow, I would have eaten a ton more than I did.
Cliffs:
- I had great expectations going into this cycle, and it did not disappoint. I did not gain as much as most others because my goals, eating and injury resulted in different changes. I LOVED being on the stuff, and am jonesing to get back on again (next time: Beastdrol / Katanadrol? - I still have 2 bottles Beast, 1 each of Diesel/Tren).
Would def. use again. Thanks to Needtobuildmuscle, Primordial and Nelson (Unleashed) for the solid products.
