Yes....you, are. Myspace turned geigh. I use Facebook for my serious friends which is why only 3-4 EF'ers are on it.

I don't have long lost friends I kept in touch with the people I cared about (3 out of 336 grads in highschool).

It's called a phone or how about actual face to face contact? And I haven't written a letter in about 20yrs unless you count post cards to my grandparents from when I was traveling.

If I can't make time to talk to someone even if for only a couple of minutes then they obviously aren't important enough to me to term them a friend.

So if someone's friends band is playing that night and they want you to know about it in case you'd like to come -- you'd rather they pick up the phone and dial you personally to invite you???

Well that's what I'd do (and I actually do call people to let them know about such things). So how is it selfish to ask someone else to extend the same courtesy to you that you extend to them?

Also in this case a text or e-mail would suffice.

I thought that facebook is about using your real name so people who have known/know you can find you more easily. I have one but I dont get on it too much. I have family and friends literally around the world so it made it VERY EASY to get back in touch. See pics, etc...

I don't get on there as much as I should, honestly I find it confusing. Hard to *get* the way the site works.

I tracked down friends on there going back to 1974 when I was living in Germany. Now I see what they've been up to since, pics of their kids, made plans to visit them.

Found my old party pals from Club Rio/Velvet in the ATL...A-W-E-S-O-M-E. College friends. Relatives. Seriously,

I also formed a high school alumni group with people going back to class of '72. There have been 10-15 mini get-togethers since I did this. They all think I'm a hero now...not the shy pencil-neck geek I actually still am.

For me Facebook is the greatest thing since broadband Internet. I don't even bother with myspace anymore. Of my 259 FB friends I know 248 of them in real life, and 99% of those have known me for at least ten years.

Most people I know are on hi5 instead of facebook because you can personalize hi5 kida like myspace but more user friendly... I hate facebook doesnt have an option to see recentprofile visitors, hi5 does....

Facebook is simply for reconnecting. Which is, essentially, living in the past. I guess most regular folk just get to a point in their lives where they choose not to push forward any longer, socially speaking. It's much easier to just dip into the reserves and settle.

Using it for pussy is fine, though. A bit silly, but it works.

You are way too cool to waste time on Facebook communicating with people you actually know but you're not too cool to sit on EF reminding people you DON'T fucking know that you're too cool for Facebook...even though the people you're hanging with on EF ARE THE SAME people you're too cool to hang with on Facebook?
