Okay, first of all there is no medical treatment for autism (therapeutic approaches, dietary approaches, yes, but no real way to improve the condition medically. There are medical comorbidities that go along with autism but that's another ball of wax). However, "untreated" autism does not lead to seizures. The brain dysfunction that causes autism can also cause seizures, but you don't "catch" seizures if you don't treat autism, so let's get that piece of shit information cleared up right here and now.
Secondly, plenty, PLENTY of people who suffer from seizure disorder or epilepsy are medicated to the gills and still regularly have what is called "breakthrough" seizures. Until the pathology report is released, speculation about whether the kid was on medication or not is just that, gossip mongering.
Some people respond to meds very well. Some people have horrendous side effects and still seize no matter how many different meds and combinations they're put on. You don't know what's going on unless you're their doctor or living their life.
