1.) i hate assholes who talk shit on facebook about their favorite pro teams. seriously, cheer and all, but to talk trash like you contibuted....................makes you a fucking loser.



2.) i have a brother who has been all over the middle east and south america since 9/11 working for the government. i take the USA very serious. a "friend" on facebook made this comment:

"I refuse to say happy 4th of july being the fact that fireworks and everything are done on the 3rd so today is just a bar-b-q day ... so for yesterday happy 3rd of july"




from this, i went off talking mad shit about this lazy, fat, sack of shit whose family has done nothing for the USA.

was i wrong? i feel not, especially since the last 3 christmas, easter, memorial day, 4th of july, and labor day have been spent worrying if my brother will ever return home to a normal life. he is not military. he is alittle above that. opinions please.

IMHO the last "great thing" about the US is that ANYONE can come here and make a decent buck, no language skills, no formal education, nothing but the clothing on their backs and still they have a shot at becoming prosperous. That is GREAT and can't be taken away from the United States.

However, this whole "truth, justice and the American way" propoganda was dead a long time ago and I am honestly sick of hearing about it.

It may have once, but that was so long ago is there anyone alive to tell about it? My husband is 58 and I have yet to hear him tell me about "that time."

I am thinking that it may have never existed. <---- that is THE ONLY part about US propoganda that annoys me. Oh yea, and the part about how it's THE GREATEST PLACE on the planet to live. It is not. Is it A great place to live? I suppose that depends on who you are. But it is NOT the center of the universe.

One thing that you will never hear me do though, is speak disrespectfully of those who served this country so that I could have the freedom to voice my point of view. I am greatly appreciative for that. For those who have an issue with my appreciation, I say buy them a one way ticket to China, somewhere in the Middle East or perhaps Somalia might be nice. Then I'd like to hear them bump their gums for a moment or two from any of those locations.

I disagree, facebook is about you and if you want to cheer or rant against your favorite team in the status that is fine. its hard not to think about just how great america is (despite its many flaws) on the great day that is independence day.

i talk positive for all troops everywhere. you might be another america hater which seems to to be the fab thing to do now but i dont. anytime anyone says anything about our troops or country, i defend it. sorry, i love my brother and my country. i cant wait for 2025 to come around when china and india, maybe even north korea, usurp us in the power rankings and all the clowns on the hater trip now are crying their eyes out then wondering why the country has lost so much. its a strange thing when people have a stronger allegiance to a sports team than their own country, regardless of the situation the country is in.
