The other night, ABC World News reported on the new legislature regarding how lobbyists wine and dine our elected morally incorruptible politicians we have in this great country /sarcasm.
The legislature written by congress stated that there can be no forks and knives thus ruling out high priced meals. They conveniently left out spoons and also decided to add a loop hole that allowed such a party if it honored a couple politicians and was deemed a "charity" event. It also allowed one round of golf as long as it was a "charity" event.
At the end of the convention, one of the largest gambling companies coordinated a "charity" poker tournament.
Do these fuckers really think that we buy that bullshit? Even the highest ranking democrat publicly stated albeit in a joking manner that his job was to make sure they had the best brandy and best finger foods available. This in itself is a big fuck you to all the people who thought they were voting for someone who actually gave a damn about their beliefs.
It's too late now but there nees to be smoe sort of grass roots effort to get every state to get a term limit amendment onto the next ballot so the people can restrict these career politicians from turning or becoming even more corrupt than they already are.
Does anyone think that people even care enough about such a thing to ever do anything about it?
