A manual surgical instrument for general use is a nonpowered, hand-held, or hand-manipulated device, either reusable or disposable, intended to be used in various general surgical procedures.
And therefore exempt from FDA jurisdiction. So a band-aid used to cover up the wound is regulated by FDA, but the shank itself could be made out of lead laced with cadmium and it would still be A-ok.
To turn the other cheek is neither humiliating nor retaliation. It is rather a response of strength that says, “I will not seek revenge because I am stronger than that”
