dextrose

I pulled this from another board Thank Harman for the information
1 tbsp of dextrose is only 10 grams of carbs
I don't follow any set rule for the PW shake: I always consume 3 servings of protein, and anywhere from 12-25 teaspoons of dextrose (38-80 grams of carbs). The amount of dextrose I use depends on how hard I thought the workout was...if it was a particularly difficult and long deadlift/squat workout, it'll be on the upper end of the range; but if it was only a short upper workout, I'll use less dextrose.

If you want more concrete advice, check out these articles by John Berardi:

I found the web links to be most informative. it brakes down what helps and what doesn't at the very end it pushes a "coming soon product" but that aside it is a great read with a lot of usefull info.

P.S.

If any one in Canada knows were to get dextrose and maltdextrin i would be most appreciative.

any bulk food store would have it, they'd sell it as corn sugar though. I get it at like 70 cents per pound. Whether it's pharmaceutical grade...whatever, I'm not too anal about it. I doubt it would make too much of a difference, glucose is glucose.
