dextrose for pain management and growth?

has anyone heard of this before? i work for three doctors and one of them is a pain management specialist. i was asking him about dextrose and he said that its used for pain. he also brought up one study that says dextrose creates growth factors? he said that its in theory though so its not a sure thing. i dont know too much about it yet but he said he'll bring in that study so i can see it. i'll post if i find anything interseting. this is injectible 50% dextrose- not the kind that you drink.

It is used for prolotherapy. It works for certain things. Research prolotherapy.

i have only experienced the use of dextrose as was stated by doctodd and thats prolotherapy and yes it was and continues to be a great treatment for migranes and sometimes for pain related to a shoulder surgery but let me know on the study for growth that would be good info
