Designer Jeans (requesting help from jh1)

Ok, evidently I need help. My girlfriend and I went shopping last night for clothes for me. Clearly, jeans today are made for guys who can't pronounce the word "squat." She had me try on about 3000 pair of jeans that she considered "cute." I could only fit into the 36's and 38's because of my thighs and ass. Unfortunately, however, that means the waist is FREAKIN' HUGE!!! Where, in God's name, do you guys buy your clothes???

Although... with large thighs from actually working out (I wouldn't know nothing about this) - you may have to buy the jeans to fit your thighs first and then have them tailor'd to fit your waist & inseam...

I'm not a big guy by any means, but my thighs are pretty bulky. I have a few pair of Lucky's and I love them. All the 7's I've tried on are made for crackheads, I think. Maybe I just need to keep looking, lol.

^^I've done this with a couple of pairs of Diesels and they never looked quite right. Had it done a Nordstrom too. They do great work on dress pants or just an inseam, but taking the waist in on jeans wasn't so good. $450 in clothes I never really wore after that.

"The Rail" is where I spent the majority of last night...love that place. The kind, homosexual Asian employee was very patient with me, haha. I guess I'm going to have to go big and have 'em tailored.

1921??? Never heard of them but I'll definitely keep my eyes open. I only own 3 pair that are reasonably comfortable...Lucky, Guess and a pair I got from fucking Old Navy for 18 freakin' bucks that fit better than any pair I've ever owned. My girlfriend is reading all of these posts and laughing her ass off. I guess I'll be spending the better part of tonight at Fashion Island in Newport Beach while she tries to squeeze me into more jeans that I already know won't fit.........awesome.....

zara actually makes really good inexpensive ones too if you don't want to drop 2 bills for something that looks dope

kenneth cole too (below the top tier jeans) some of their styles and fits are really good for a midpriced jean. most people don't associate them with jeans though
