i will give you this 5'9" is a perfect frame for long term bodybuilding. us tall guys joints go if we go too heavy too often. my buddy is 5'9" used to strong as an ox benched like 525 au natural.. but now he can barely handle 315 after years of working out, he is 36......just like me. and i am the using 315 for reps now just like he was then. cuz i never went heavy. we both have been lfting since where 12 off and on of course..............24yrs
anway low reps=short term goals consisting of peaks and plateaus. U will get strong but the stregnth is fake, only there cuz u handle the weight on the regular. I peak thru diet and supp's. I never plateau
BTW my pic in my profile is a au natural before pic
Damn I forgot about this thread. I'm not a bodybuilder, I am more in it for the strength. I like being strong.
As we can all see you are basing all your knowledge on what works for YOU. Everyone is different. I work with low reps, low sets. I do maybe 4x6 or 3x6 on my core lifts. It has worked very well for me. My mass is REAL contrary to your belief. Regardless if you do high volume or low volume, if you leave from working out for an extended time, yeah you will lose strength, thats just a simple fact. 2 of my profile pics are all natural, the ones where I dont look sunburnt and i'm ~40lbs lighter than the other two pics .
