deca for elbow pain/tendonitis???

mac had great advice. follow it.

also, as immortalis said. cortisone injections are not magic. from my experiance, they are a temp fix, at best

Cortisone and even deca are only temporary fixes....once you stop either, the pain will most definitely return....try aflutop in between cycles, it helped me considerably.... everyone else has given some good advice... rest, train light, do stretches often throughout the day, and ice.

Good luck!

i went to the doc told him it hurt when i did curls he said dont do curls

fuckin prick i told him it wasnt funny so he sent me to physical therapy for elbow tendonitis, it didnt do shit. ofcourse he said it wouldnt doc said they cant do anything for tendonitis

well i tried something that fixed it in two weeks
that was 3 years ago and no pain since

http://www.jumpusa.com/dynaflex_powerball.html
mabey you can find it cheaper

started the exercise at about 45 seconds a day and then progessed to 2 minutes a day and in 2 weeks....pain gone

last year it was other arm and outside elbow instead of inside elbow
guess what??? it took 6 weeks but the pain is gone and none now for 16 months

its 20 bucks and if it dosent work for you so what but if its the miracle it was for me its worth hundreds

Go lighter on the sets. Also skull crushes are notorious for causing elbow joint pain. But yea, Deca should help and so will Test.

The truth!

if any exercise hurts (ie strains the injured/irritated tendon) dont do it, find an alternative motion and/or use lighter weight and "work the pump".

I have the same problem as you,

And I hate it, skull crushers work great for my triceps,

Can/t do them now,

It may take 6 months to a year to go away, heal whatever,

I find myself doing triceps everyday now.

Where did you find it for 20 bucks? It's 39.95 on the site. For 20 bucks I would for sure give it a shot, though.

All of the above are the usual w/ tendonitis - I've dropped so much money on "fixing" it or at least getting the pain to decrease its not funny. The stuff I stick w/ is:

- MSM caps -- sometimes I get the whole MSM / Glucosamine/ Chondroitin mix, but always make sure its MSM.
- MSM cream (got this at GNC) -- put that on the areas that are prone to pain

Back off the stuff that aggravates it - this includes:
- skull crushers
- curls
- upright rows

- I also get pinches in my hand (obviously nerve related) when I do pull ups & upright rows due to that grip.

RICE -- lots of icing & stretching, cable work.

WHen its gotten real bad I switch my routine to be more core strength / stability oriented & lay off the bis / tris / shoulders work so much.

The other thing I wanted to note is that when you do have a recurring pain & you keep lifting, your body "learns" to lift around it, i.e. you establish new neural paths to do the same exercise but in a way that works around the pain. The problem is that if you start to force muscles to do things they aren't meant to do (i.e. different muscles engage to help support the weight that your pained muscles / tendons can't support), then other stuff starts to hurt and it just keeps propogating until you are all fucked up. I've been thru this recently where my heavy lifting started to really aggravate some long-existing rotator cuff problems, which in turn resulted in my entire back going into a spasm & pushing my scapulas out of place. They literally were sticking out & had to be pushed back in. I ended up backing off of all training for almost a month and now I stick w/ squat / push / pull 3x/week and do some light bi / tri work on the off days. But definitely refocused on core stability and staying within forms that dont' hurt. Otherwise I'm back out for a week.

Definitely interested in alflutop / adequan and have heard good things.

Another thought on using deca to help w/ the pain -- just make sure that your increased strength doesn't result in you lifting weights that exceed what your JOINTS can support (not your muscle, but your joints!) and aggravate them even more.
