Dear I.R.S.

New member
Enclosed is my 2005 tax return showing that I owe $3,407.00 in taxes.

Please note the attached article from USA Today, wherein you will see the Pentagon is paying $171.50 for hammers and NASA has paid $600.00 for a toilet seat.

I am enclosing four toilet seats (value $2400) and six hammers (value $1029), bringing my total remitted to $3429.00.

Please apply the overpayment of $22.00 to the "Presidential Election Fund," as noted on my return. You can do this inexpensively by sending them one 1.5" Phillips Head screw (article from USA Today detailing how HUD pays $22.00 each for 1.5" Phillips Head Screws is enclosed for your convenience.)

It has been a pleasure to pay my tax bill this year, and I look forward to paying it again next year.

im not dredding april 15th anymore

The founding fathers are spinning in their graves over how much of our wealth the government confiscates. Every major corporation can downsize... but the government can't seem to.

I'm all about eliminating entire government agencies at a time.

dear gotmilk,

we've decided to conduct a field audit on you that would make any proctologist proud.

love,

the irs

Fucking IRS. Don't let me get started ... I'm filing my first ever extension and forking over huge chunks of money, waiting for the busy season to calm down to get an appointment with CPA/financial dude this year  God I hope we can get something back ...

We are the least taxed nation around in the major producers in the world you know. How many pay 50% including Fed, State, Local and Property taxes? Hmmm, give it up please. Our neighbor to the North is about 45% just for the Fed tax.

I hate paying them, especially knowing what they waste, but dam we get off easy. Oh, and if you get money back, you are paying too much in to begin with. Free money they can use. Your fault, not theirs.

Anyway, the original post was cute. Yeah, MIL spec costs 10 times the normal rate (more like 100 times) but that is for process, testing and government paper work. What you gonna do. Besides, we are talking people that vote their own raises. Don't you wish you could do that? I vote for a 20%, no, 50% raise this year, and another 50% next. Yeah, that's the ticket
