Deadlift Reached A New High.

I've only been deadlifting for around a year. Whenever I started a year ago I could barely do 225lbs. I'm 23 years old, 5'11" 186lbs. I got 495lbs for 2 reps today at the gym, I do use wrist straps though. My sets went:

225lbs For 10 Reps
315lbs For 10 Reps
405lbs For 10 Reps
455lbs For 6 Reps
475lbs For 3 Reps
495lbs For 2 Reps
425lbs For 5 Reps
335lbs For 10 Reps

I have always pyramided up and then come back down, this has worked really great for me. I'm on week 4 of 375mgs of Deca & 500mgs of Test Cyp. In hindsight I should have thrown a 2 1/2 on each side to get a nice even 500lbs but oh well. I feel great!

i use 425 for sets of 6 reps regularly and could only do 225 a year and a half ago
i cant wait to see what i can get to on this cycle
i actually like deadlifting now ,at one time i hated it and always skipped ,now if i can just start to like squats like i like deads id be in biz
 
Deadlifts are one exercise that I will never skip. I never see anyone do them at my gym either. Guys joke around when they see me going really heavy and say things like "you can have that" and "you're going to pick that up?" Works really well for shock value when I silence the nay-sayers. I don't use a weight belt either...should I use one?

fuck bro thats a shitload of heavy deadlifts!! Id be so goddamn tired from all the reps after that Id pass out

I always found it just detroyed me to go voer 5 sets for deadlifts
im old school with the 10,8,6,4,2 method

but great job bud....keep it up!... :coffee:
