I`m getting one for my basement in the future and will be draining it to my existing drain, No emptying of containers. Anybody have one? Do you like it?

Do I really need a big one for a 30X17 room? and maybe another small room next to it. It will be on 24/7 I guess.

I have one (just for the summer though) and it works great. that is evidenced by the 40 trips a day I have to take upstairs to dump out the friggin water tank. definitely a good buy though.

That`s why I ran a small pipe to the drain. You can use a hose. It`s worth it IMO.

i have one in my basement that ive had for about a year...

does the job, but we dont have a drain so we gotta empty the bucket like every other day:o

works good, and has a setting for like percent humidity you want, and it goes on and off to keep it at that...

and if you have it in a room, make sure you dont leave the door open... sometimes we leave the basement bathroom door open, and the dehumidifier probably works on the toilet

We have to have them here in the summer.
If you can set it up with a hose it is great, we don't have the setup for that though.

Take the sump to a hardware store. The plumbing guy can probably set you up. :)

I used a 3/4 or 1 inch PVC (white) pipe to drain it almost straight down to the 3 inch main drain of the house.

Now I`m starting to wonder about the "work on the toilet" comment. I have a water heater about 3 feet away seperated by a door and a wall.
