DC Training Experiences

So what's the consensus on this training style. After coming off of a 5x5 program, i've been dointhisit for a month and so far it seems like a solid routine...

Anyway, how did it work out for you compared to other training methods?

I am rather new to this style of training. I am about to start my 3rd blast next Monday. So far I think it is a great program, and I plan on training this way for a while. What is your past training experiences like? I don't want to come off like one of the guys from IM, but it is a somewhat advance training method. Have you read and then reread all the stickies over at IM. There are a few good bors on here, CEO and Hardrock, who have been doing DC for a good while. I am sure they will chime in.

Keep at it. Rest your body when you need to. For a beginner on it feel free to rest in 6-8 weeks with a cruise just to be safe. Be patient. It is a great program with structure to succeed.

Sorry guys, I forgot I made this thread.

I've been training for 12 years with basicly every program out there at one point or another. My best gains were on my own routine I came up with, and the 5x5 program I just came off. I believe the gains would have been much better with the 5x5 compared to what I spent most of those years doing...bet hey, live and learn.

So far I can say this about DC, it has been a LONG while since i've felt such a burn and soreness my lagging muscle grous. It's like starting fresh all over:)

One question i'll through out there, how important are static holds? I feel i need another couple months to work up to being able to throw them in...but it seems like a nice touch at the end of an exercise..
