Man, I would love to come eat sushi with ya'll but DC is a bit far for me to eat raw fish. I heard in New York they actually serve Blowfish in real exclusive sushi places. How stupid can you get? I mean why risk dying when the fish can't be that much better than tuna or salmon.

so Feb 28th Sat ...i am in....Sushi taro in dupont circle is really good.. So is Sushi Ko.. neither are cheap by any means....but damn good....Love Yamma in NYC... big slices of fish and little rice...
 
Is this a closed event? I wouldn't mind coming by but I would definitly look out of place among all you he-men.

OOOPS, I thought this was a dead proposal, since I didn't hear anything from anybody else.

I have a date tomorrow night, and a birthday party to attend, so I will have to beg out of this one guys.

Because with the date, I am assured to get laid.

Dinner and strippers with you guys would only insure that I would be sexually frustrated for the night, which would lead me to go home and rub a couple out before I go to bed, alone.

Dude I just got back from Baja Fresh. They have a new menu with low carbs and high protein. They list protein for their items!

There's one that is 77g of protain 850 cals and $9.

We have to make this happen.....but not tomorrow

sushi sushi in bethesda triangle is really good and pretty low cost for sushi

theres also one in Washington DC / Cleveland Park near cafe deluxe on macolm(sp)

Next weekend. Let's not fuck around. Lunch on Saturday. Let's say 2 pm.

How the question remains which one. The one up in Germantown would save Wodin about an hour over having to go into town; obviously it's near me (it's actually not the closest one I just went there cos it's near a Lowe's) and farther away from the rest of the DC guys. Another plus is that I have already talked to the manager.

No prob if you guys still want to get together tomorrow; I'd say there is only about a 10% chance I will make it.

Also I am excited about this new Baja Fresh menu. I would have no problem making this a monthly thing; we would rotate around every BF in the DC area!

Mak, it looks like it's for next weekend, since none of these fools called me today (Sunday) to see if I could make it out or not.

Next Saturday works for me, and if Wodin can make it, then maybe a Bethesda location would work best.

Let's try to finalize something quickly, in order to include some folks who might want to join in. Late arrangements usually piss people off, thereby turning them into no-shows.

Very cool, get home for 2 weeks on Friday so I can finally check this meet-up out.
 
So when is this meet taking place ?? March 6 Sat ??? or did it already pass?? Last year i went to Sushi Taro for the Cherry Blossom buffet.. $30 all you can eat sushi and their sushi is pretty damn good....At so much tuna and salmon with out rice...yummy. And tried the sea urchin..looked like baby poop, but tasted okay.

i'm up for anything. just let me know when, where and what time....
 
Gotcha....can't do it this coming weekend.

Got kid plans for saturday.
