I watched that last night.

How did he do that trick with the girl and her teeth???

what about eating the glass, or the card that someone just thought of but didn't tell anyone?
 
dullboy is equally impressed with david blaine as he is with people who jump off roofs and/or shoot themselves in the head.

Blaine is an idiot. He came over here to London to do a stupid starvation stunt for 40 days above The Tower. An insult to the real homeless who can't eat because they haven't even got money for soup and have nothing or no where to go.

Keep him in America as he's not welcome over here.
 
i saw that last night. He went into convulsions or whatever. Must suck to train for so long and then now to not even break the record
 
they said his liver enzymes were elevated, but getting better, no real damage.

he was living in an 8 foot sphere shaped aquarium for a week or something then tried to hold his breath for 9 minutes but stopped at 7 minutes and 15 seconds. divers had to jump in and recuse him.

saw the first 2, in truth, was impressed

admittedly still impressive, though he did break the human underwater record (not sure what the paramters of that were).

one wonders whether the hand and foot damage might have long term consequences

yeah, i've always been impressed by his street magic. some of the card tricks, the slight of hand, i can get and he is a master at it, but some of the more complicated tricks are just insane, I have no idea how he pulls them off.

i need to know the truth trick. They all had to be on it. He removed teeth of someone with removable teeth and then he rewinded it maybe?

that one I can see how its done.

he started with the laces untied, they is key.

They are hanging down his pant leg. the tied laces are tucked up his pant legs.

he shakes his legs aruond and the untied laces aer pulled up his pant leg while the tied ones shake out and are exposed.

dullboy is aging himself here, but remembers when David Blaine was starting out in NYC circa 1991ish.

he was a thursday night regular at a place called Canastels (19th and Park Ave South - it's now called Angelo and Maxies).

he would go from table to table and work the bar doing magic tricks all night long. built a good reputation locally, very quickly.

any guy who can't figure out how to score hot chicks should learn serious magic.
 
For real. Dude went to Haiti and all the damn voodoo priests and shit were scared of him.

It was a stunt, not a magic trick. He did it by undergoing training for over half a year and losing 30lbs of muscle to lower his bodies need for oxygen.

To be honest I don't know. In highschool I held mine for a little over two minutes. The only training I ever did for it was play soccer and we did it as more of a see who can stay under longer thing. If somebody was in really good shape and actually trained for it who knows what they could do.
 
Maybe he hid some oxygen tablets under his tongue or something.

You probably typed this while eating.

How is that an insult to the hungry? If anything that is trully a sympathetic act...infinite amounts more respectful than you will ever get by eating whenever you so choose.

You'll never know what it's like to starve like the hungry. Maybe you should try fasting for 40 days like Blaine did.

I was taught that brain damage starts to occur around 3 minutes or so. Small kids have a greater capacity to go without oxygen..via drowning...and recovering.

I know someone who was in rough shape after 7 minutes. He could hardly walk afterwards. Couldn't fill out a hunting license the next day.

His dad seen the after math and advised his brother to stay the hell out of that clinic.
