I was reading some articles on Dave Draper's website and came accross this picture of a magazine cover he was on during the 70s.

there really is something to be said about the physiques earlier on in bodybuilding.

Dave Draper,Larry Scott,Harold Poole,Sergio Olivia,Serge Nubret,Scott Wilson, were the chief bodybuilders back then and graced the cover of Muscual Development,Mr.America,Ironman. Those were the days!

I must admit that I love mass, but you cannot deny the beauty of a classic well proportioned physique. Too bad we couldnt take a few of the old timers and pit them against their contemporaries.

yes, awesome in all aspects. and the funny thing is, is that the all had lives outside of bodybuilding and personalities.

The tiny waistline is just amazing and the thing I most miss in comparison to today's freaks.

thats the one thing in this photo that most impressed me, at least one of the things. Bodybuilders used to do the ab vacuum pose, where they would create negative pressure inside the abdomen and suck in the waist. You dont see that pose anymore too much, perhaps since their waists are so thick now.
Wish I had a waist like Arnold or Dave.
