10 of the Best Cars For Snow | Autobytel.com
That the 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STi does exceptionally well when the white stuff falls shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, as this vehicle draws its heritage from decades of winter rally competition.
if you read my post in your car thread i mentioned this was coming up.
yep, that's why I poasted it
premium petro is a killer though, the non wrx imprezza is still awd.
but fuk a turbo is fun
car was pretty g2g as well
No dents, no alignment problems?
I just made a U turn last weekend in the dark where the field on the side of the road looked pretty flat. But of course I turned in the one spot where there was a culvert drainage. Right front tire went right into the hole and the left rear came off the ground. Brand new Ford explorer still has the temp plate on it.
Luckily, a very nice guy came along with a tow strap and pulled me right out before I had to deal with any coppers.
The right front quarter panel popped out very slighty. The seam where it meets the front door is raised like an eighth inch. Other than that, no damage.

it was a very casual accident we were going 30ish and being cautious...we lost control long before we were over the edge so we knew it was coming.
i kinda panicked and immediatly when the car stopped got the fuk out...sitting passenger proly not a good idea wouldn't have taken much to roll it
It's a Ford Explorer

LOL! I think there should be a rule where you don't make fun of someone's vehicle while they still have temp tags. What does everyone think?lolo
I'm putting a petition together to ban 2wd vehicles in TX.
I feel they promote being a pussy, which can get you killed in certain situations, so in my opinion 2wd's are responsible for deaths and.should be banned

I figured smaller tires on a jeep had more to do with torque. As far as snow traction, I would think its more about contact patch size. Skinny tires and wide tires can have similar contact patch sizes, but the skinny tire has a long narrow patch and the wide tire has short wide patch. I don't know how that might matter. When you get into deep snow, i would think that more tire is better for simple surface area reasons.
the skinnier tires cut through the snow because of the contact area.
See that shit on the side of my Ford pickup, that's called mud. Picked that shit up while I was attending a MLK rally down on the river swamp.
You picked that shit up on the mud driveway up to your mobile home.
Yeah I could see where smaller tires with higher tire pressure would have more force per square inch against the snow maybe.
