Excuse the profanity in the title

Just realized I will most likely be having my period next weekend, likely starting Thurs or Fri. ON THE WEEKEND I GET MARRIED!!!

AND, it is my first period OFF BCP. Which means it will likely be really heavy and crampy.

I am NOT happy. I told my honey last night....he just laughed at me and asked me if I wanted to move the date, lol.

Poor Daisy! I've been on the pill (ick) since being back in school and somehow figured out 8 weeks ago that I was going to have mine over my wedding. I skipped it and moved it back a week but I was a total psycho from moving the pills.

Do you have any options right now or are you just going to make the best of it?

Nah, I'm going to make the best of it. I figure we have the rest of our lives to catch up, lol. I'm just irritated, it is ONE thing I don't want to deal with. It isn't even just sex, it is just the hassle of it! Maybe it won't be so bad......

You could just keep taking them for a week longer to put off your period and then stop after the honeymoon! Have a great time!

I went off the pill 3 weeks ago....not possible anymore.

But no regrets - I am SO happy to be off hormones! I never had problems with them, but it nice to be without them!

Awwww . That's the last thing you need on your wedding. Maybe it will surprise you and wait at least a few days. That way you'd have your wedding with no hassle and a couple days of good sex!

Up your calcium & protein just a little more for the 2-3 weeks before you're scheduled to get it....I've found that helps me not cramp as bad....

Nope, I want to have kids soon.

It's weird, I went off BCP about 3.5 weeks ago, and according to all the signs (ovulation, etc I've been doing some charting to get to know my fertility) I should get my period at the end of next week. But there are no "normal" signs - bloating, breast tenderness, etc - I ALWAYS got that while on BCP. It's curious.

Sounds straight to me. Before you had artificially high levels of female hormones in your bod, but now that those levels have normalized the typical symptoms of impending menstration have become way less pronounced.

What you're noticing are some of the same things I noticed. Wonderful isnt it?

Holy Progesterone Batman! I spoke too soon! I am having SERIOUS period symptoms....my breasts have never been this tender. Ouchy.

I wish I could take some anti-progesterone pills!

Daisy just some suggestions...for fertility and to get your periods "normal" drink lots of Red Rasberry Leaf tea this stregthens your Uterus, and helps with cramping etc....also Fennel Tea will help with Fertility......

Also start taking your prenatal vitamin NOW....you need the folic acid in your body before you get pregnant!!!

Goodluck on your wedding and I hope your period isn't TOOO bad....

I just recently went off the pill too. I can't wait to have babies. I have been off of the pill this will be my 2nd month... I hope it doesnt take too too long.

Funny how some women don't get pregnant right away after talking the pill and some do. Daisy, I charted my cycle, temp and mucus for about 14 months and used it as birth control. It is a wonderful way to get pregnant too! Makes it alot faster if you know your cycles!
