By far one of the hardest smells to remove from your house. Usually the only way to get that smell out is to rebuild. Good luck.

OK, I've now scrubbed the carpet with vinegar (supposed to help get out the ammonia smell) and now the house smells like vinegar which makes me want a sub!! LOL

So, now all 3 kitties are locked in the basement for the nite. I feel bad for the other 2 cuz they have no idea why they are locked in the basement for the nite.....poor babies....

Yep you're right.....she's peed all over 1 section of the basement on concrete --that'll never come out and now all over the carpet in the office area. At least the carpet needs replacing which I havent' wanted to do till I've decided what to do about HER....

i think it's definetly time to part with the kitty. yes, you have an obligation to love your pets, but you also have the right to a clean and healthy home. if your pets can't keep up their end of the deal, then it's time to say goodbye.

she sick or just not too bright?

She's anywhere from 19-21 years old and according to the vet, physically healthy as a horse......BUT her mind is shot....she basically has Feline Alzheimer's or could be considered demented....

most cats are demented, but that's besides the point....

sorry Jen. you know what's gotta be done though.

Yeah it's lookin like next week won't be a good week for me cryin' wise......cuz I know I'll totally break down having to put Momo to sleep and I've never had to do that B4 plus Jessica's graduation ceremony is Tuesday and her party is Saturday and I KNOW that'll be a weep-fest.......

I feel sorry for you. I know how hard it is. I grew up w/a cat named LeRoy. He lived for 20yrs. It was so sad when he died. I miss him.
