I talked to my Mom and they had 3 foot of water in their house and yard! They don't know when they will have electricity back on. I still don't know about my place and waiting to hear when I can go back home.

I hear you but they are getting pretty old and just rebuilt this house because after Katrina they only had a concrete slab left! The house is built up in the air so the inside didn't get messed up but they have a beautiful sitting room, shop, and shed that everything is ruined in. I just hate that they have to keep going through all this when we've went so many years without any storms like this and now we keep getting hit! I guess it's a price you pay to live in such a beautiful place. They are live on the Mississippi Coast right on the water.

I am hearing that we may be without power for 2-4 weeks I hope this isn't true!

Damn bro that shit sucks bad. I hope all your stuff is intact. We have Hurricane Hannah that is supposed to pass really close to us on Friday and then there are two more behind it. This shit is crazy.

miplank I really don't know about my mom and all moving because they have always lived near the beach and I'm not sure they would want it any other way. They have talked about moving in a condo or something and selling their house because it's way to big for this to keep up with through so many hurricanes. it's alot of work to pick up and leave everytime a storm comes.

As for me I will never leave this is home to me!!!
