cycling intensity?

hi, my friend gave me a tip...

right now i'm trying to get bigger and i'm doing highweights low reps with good form...

but he says...

"By the way, every 8-12 weeks u have to cycle the intensity. So basically after about 10 weeks, u have to switch ur workout to a lightweight and high rep. So use weights that u can do for about 12 reps and 3 sets. If u don’t do this intensity cycling, after the first 12 weeks, u’ll stop getting bigger. Also, while u do that heavy weight workout, ur muscles are gonna be jiggly, so it tightens up the muscles."

is this true that i should switch to low weight high reps?

or can/or should i keep going on with highweights and low reps and get bigger... ?

help!?

depends, some like to take a week off completely, and decondition the muscles, then start off at like 65-75% of what they were previously doing, this prevents you from burning out too quickly or hitting a sticking point. I would prefer just taking a week or 2 off
