I am looking to do another cycle after 2 years off, but my wife and I are trying to get pregnet. Will this cycle hurt our chances.
While there are exceptions to EVERY rule, the answer to your question is generally YES. If you've already been off for two years, why not stay off a little longer and see what happens?? Also, get yourself tested and see if you have any pre-existing conditions (low count, low motility, etc.) as, roids will most certainly have a negative effect if you are already low on ammo.
Introducing exogenous test (and derivatives thereof) into your system will most likely shut down natural test production AND sperm production. Once you are at that point, you will most likely not see any improvement in that condition until 90 days after everything has cleared your system (the average time for spermatogenesis).
That said. My wife and I tried to get pregnant for about three years with no luck. My count and motility weren't the greatest. Funny thing is, for years before and during that period of time, I was clean and green. No drugs, didn't drink a lot, good diet, regular exercise. . .all the things that you are supposed to do to be healthy AND fertile. Anyway, after siginificant intervention by the medical profession, we finally had twins.
Five years went by, during which time I became interested in chemical enhancement (we were also banging away like a screen door in a hurricane during this period of time with no protection and weren't able to produce any kids on our own). After a few mild to moderate cycles, my wife asked me to get tested again to see what was up with my count. Knowing what I know about juice and fertility, I figured the results would be less than stellar so, imagine my surprise when the results come back and I had 10 times as many of the little buggers than I had when I was living my healthy, drug-free lifestyle. At the time that I was tested, it had been several months since my last cycle, so my system was probably back to normal but, at 40 years of age (a time when even the most fertile man will begin to see a decline in production) I was very surprised to see any improvement let alone the monumental improvement that I had. There really is no reasonable explanation for it.
Anyway, after I got tested again, I stayed away from the "supplements" for a few more months and damned if we didn't get pregnant. Kind of wrecks all those theories that I had in my head for so many years.
One guy's story.
