Ok two things have been thus established
1) no real ramp up is needed
2) because thyroid hormone pretty much shuts down quickly
with external supplementation

well if the thyroid hormon shuts down quickly w/ external supplementation then doesnt it make sense that anything over 50 mcg will still shut down the thyroid? so for a cycle wouldnt it make more sense to do something like this

20 days
100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 50, 50 , 50, 50, 25, 25, 25, 25, 12.5, 12.5, 12.5

no ramp up, and no ramping down by 25 mcg until after 50....i see no point in using 75 mcg if its still suppressing the thyroid to a great degree

while this doesnt matter greatly on doses of 100, consider a 150 mcg cycle

150, 150, 150 ,150, 150, 150, 150, 150, 150, 50, 50, 50, 50, 25, 25, 25, 25, 12.5, 12.5, 12.5

that extra time on a dose of 150 instead of 150, 125, 100, 75...could make a lot of diffewrence, and it helps keeps cycles shorter as well

what do y'all think...i could be way off the boat here as i just started doing some research on t3

so is tapering down worth anything? should one just continue max dosage for 75% of the time and drop to 50-25mcg for the last 25%? arent theyr any t3 gurus out there heh

Ive had a couple competitors who can just cut it off cold turkey no consequence. But majority taper off. IMHO the key is to continue diet past t-3 cycle for 3 weeks. I prefer to drop 25mcg every 5 days

I agree with you overrx. If even a small amount of exogenous t3 causes thyroid downregulation then why not start with your peak dosage? Another question that's been bugging me- if the above is basically true then why bother ramping down at all? If your body recognises exogenous t3 entering it then it will shut down it's production. Why won't it just stay shut down even if very, very slowly tapering off? Even if you do something like this:
150, 150, 150, 150, 150, 150, 150, then taper for 5 weeks, ending with a 12.5mcg dose the last few days your thyroid should still be shut down, slow taper or not because of t3 supplementation. In other words why not just run shorter cycles of 100mcg for 21 days or something like that to keep the time of shutdown shorter, much like Andy was saying for DNP, or how we all look at AAS- no taper. I know the mechanisms are different from thyroid to testicles as far as shutting down but the principle still seems to be the same. Let's keep this thread going- Andy, macro, Cycleon, Fonz, Stew, Huck?
