Cutting without cardio

How many of you get results from a cutting diet without doing any cardio? I've been on a cutting diet for about a month now, without any cardio and my results coming along VERY slowly. Time for me to hit the cardio. :(
 
This is a very individual situation. I can get lean without doing any cardio, right now my bodyfat is 6% at 206 (never juiced) and I do no cardio. I have friends that have to do cardio like crazy to get to 12% percent. It's so much genetic. Some people can eat nothing but garbage and have 5% BF year round, I have 2 friends like this. I find that when I start doing a lot of cardio I lose fullness. I would need to increase my calories a little bit to maintain size, which wouldn't really make much sense for me to do. It just depends on your set-point for bodyfat. I would rather tighten up the diet than look stringy. Good luck bro!
 
Cardio is the key for me when it comes to dropping fat. I am useless when it comes to restricting calories and I can't function without good quality carbs. If I'm especially strict with my diet I CAN drop fat decently without using cardio, but its not something I take a lot of pleasure in. That said, I don't like cardio either. Getting lean is never, ever any fun.
 
it all depends on your current bodyfat... Say if you are over 15% you could probably get down to 12% without cardio.

But trying to drop down under 12% without cardio will be harder and longer
 
yeah cardio is my damn problem, i got down to 12%, and its a very slow problem, but i HATE cardio!!!! I better start liking it :( !
 
i get bored with cardio... i want to get a precore for my apartment so i can play x-box or something while i am on the damn machine.... Vince Taylor did 2, 1 hour sessions during his dieting for the arnold classic - i would shoot myself
 
I'm doing 45 minutes on the threadmill first thing in the morning 7 days a week...it's a PITA, but it has to be done.
 
If my diet is PERFECT I can cut without it. But since it's damn near impossible for me to eat 6 small meals with perfect P/C/F ratios I do cardio.
 
cardio sucks

I am getting ready for my first competition and I have worked up to two 45 minute sessions of intense cardio a day. I never thought I would have to work this hard to get lean but I am doing everthing I can and only the cardio manipulation makes a difference now. Just have to survive two more weeks though
 
I got down from about 14 to 12ish on my diet. Woonaki, i'm a fan of those programs, i'm going to try them. Thanks a lot!
 
i think cardio is important when cutting but certainly not essential. and another thing is to me cardio is running 3-6 miles 4 times a week. at a pace of 6-8min per mile. you people walk on 3.5 on an incline and call it cardio. in your case just cut out a meal and you'll lose more.
 
tdropping bodyfat without cardio is definitely possible if your cals are in order and you're working out regulary. as lean body mass increases so does basic metabolic rate. howver, the fastest way to drop bodyfat is this:

*50mg efedrine pre a.m cardio. 20-30 minutes high intensity am cardio.

*cut cals down 500 each day.

*take some anabolic to at least spare as much muscle as possible.

I don't know how you guys do all that cardio and actually look better, I guess I am just unique in that regard. Last summer I got down to 189 at a height of 6'2 and was freaking ripped, but I had no size (relatively). I am natural, maybe that's why I lost so much muscle. Right now I am at 6% BF at a weight of 206 and have all my abs in place. I look much much better. Bigger and fuller with good seperation. Hell with cardio!
 
for me cardio is needed to get below 10%. I am cutting right now and my cardio consist of walking for 1 hour 4 times a week before eating in the morning. I have found the low intensity long duration works best for me and helps in keeping me looking full. I am around 240 at 6'2" right now at 10% and I am shooting for 220 or so at 5 or 6%. Been there before, but for me it takes cardio to do it.
 
what kind of supps are you using?

this can also play a big factor in how much fat you lose. im talking about ALA, CLA, green tea, theses supps help out tremendously to reduce BF with out using cardio. IMO if you need cardio use the least amount needed to see an affect. that maybe only 30minutes 3 times a week, then after a few weeks just add another day. this is the best way i know how to use cardio and preserve muscle. i used it to get ready for a show one year. no need to start out doing 45 minutes everyday you wont have any rooom to move up
