Cut off my finger today

i don't want to know what happened. i hurt my finger 3 years ago running it through a printmaking press. didn't break it somehow but tore the skin off... nerve damage too.

I'm still not understanding how it "came off and shattered".. is it made out of plaster of paris or something?

its my pinky on my left so it is kinda useless anyways i was more worried about looking like a gimp missing a finger. i work at a papermill and i thought i was stronger than i am i can military press 315 pretty easy we run paper rolls off on this machine and usually some is left on but not much so the rolls usually are about 20-100lbs but this one was big about 200-250 so my co worker was like lets just use the crane but me acting like johnny bravo was like don't worry i got it so this roll is about 7-8 feet so i took it off thinkin i would just hold it and lower it well it fell and i tried catching it and it drove my finger down against some metal part on the machine. it cut through my finger and cut and shattered the bone so i was in the hospitol for 5 hours gettin it fixed and sewn back on i visited a speacilist today and it said it should be ok just gotta worry about infection so i can't workout for at least 2 weeks. got a good look this morning when the cast came off pretty disgusting i will try to get some pics tomorrow for everyone when i get the dressing changed oh yeah and toga you know how you can help the bet

I'd be interested in seeing the pics. I put my ring finger through a shaper once. It was pretty disgusting as well, they fixed me up and you cannot even tell anything happened except where the stitches were. There are little hole marks and everything. Frankenstien finger.
