why do you choose to alienate Catholics constantly. As Christians we both believe in Jesus, Eternal Salvation, and the Trinity so why do you continue to bad-mouth catholicism. My father was Lutheran and I was raised Catholic therefore I have experienced other forms of Christianity many, many times and unless you are a former Catholic I doubt you have been exposed to the Catholic church on a positive level. I question why you alienate allies like you do.

Dude, I am sorry I bring that up but there are too many things that Catholics have done over the years and now that is not Biblical. I really don't think we should discuss on this thread but I will be happy to discuess with you on pm or another thread. Btw I am not saying that the Catholic people are bad I am just saying the Catholic church has numberous fallacies in it.

your retarded, if you knew anything about history, you would notice that the forfathers, and if you read some of their documents, you would notice that they, directly keep separation of church and state, there is no fuckng argument it is fact. besides the supreme court already ruled on that remember?
and the supreme court judges off the constitution.

as for the whole christianity thing, my whole point was that curling, you are just another ignorant american who wants vengence and more bloodshed for what happened, and all in all.
What the hell will that fix? nothing, so yes lets keep fighting this expensive and useless war, for people like you.

And i never said i was some divine christian like curling thinks he is, so therfore i dont have to live up to all of those things you said.
but if curling is gonna follow something so closely, maybe he should interpret a little better. and look for forgiveness as opposed to bloodshed.

Regardless of religion, it shouldn't be an issue because it is unconstitutional for the Federal Court to mandate what the local judge, who was elected to serve the *majority* wishes of his constituents does in this respect. The federals are clearly in violation of the law -- they have no power to regulate what the state judge does in this respect...

Separation of church and state is *not* a constitutional realism. Although that's what the majority of us believe. Enforcement (or non-enforcement rather) of religion is. And there is a huge difference between the two.

This is black and white, letter of the law -- regardless of your religious feelings.

As an aside, it is more appropriate than the Koran, etc., because it is there by the wishes of the majority in the constituency and, perhaps as importantly, because, like it or not, our laws and country were in fact founded on Christian principles. I see it as a historical reference/homage to the law, not *enforcement* of a religion.

BTW, I'm not what you'd classify as Christian -- so I have no emotional stake in the issue. Just pointing out the *facts* about the law and giving you my *opinion* on the appropriateness...

Nice post. And for the kind of person you are I think it would be great if you were a Christian because you pretty much live up to Christians standards now why not get the rewards as well?

Curling,

Believe me, life would be much simpler -- the problem is "coming to Jesus" -- I wasn't raised in a church-going household; I wasn't indoctrinated into the religion. I didn't grow up believing in anything beyond vague principals.

So now, at the age of 31, going to a church and being asked to believe in Jesus and asked to prostate myself before a God and Christ that I don't know or even necessarily ascribe to, is asking a lot. It's not in the same league as being asked to believe in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy, but you get my point...

As such, I gravitate more towards pagan ideals because I can "feel" those things. I do think I'm, and more importantly, my family, missing out on some things that organized religion can offer, but really, how do you rememdy that? If you belive, you believe, if you don't you don't.

And I'd love to believe in all of it -- have something black and white to guide my life path, have something that I completely could be sure I wasn't wrong about, but I just don't.

I understand. It is harder to believe the older you get. But just keep searching and read the Bible some and watch the way the world going downhill just like the Bible perdicted and maybe one day you will.

And just from your post you really seem to lean towards Bible teaching more than you do pagan ideals.

Well, I think there are a lot of concepts in Christianity that make sense; that said, fundamentally, you have to believe in JC or you are not a Christian... This is my dilemma...

It's not that I disbelieve, it's that I don't ascribe... It's kinda like, yeah maybe, but I don't know... And that is no way to follow a religion...

I do believe there is more than one path to get to heaven/nirvana/the beyond, etc... I don't see how God could be loving if it wasn't so...
