Machine, you don't have to go to church to be a christian. only to be a "good" (insert name of christianity here, i.e. lutheran, catholic, methodist etc.) do you have to attend church. God said He is with any two or more people that gather in His name. This means your family. you can teach your family the way of God and his Son the Christ while teaching them morality with that an understanding of right and wrong. you have doubts about Jesus. that's the nature of the beast. but follow your heart not reason. religion goes against human rationality, that's why not all will be saved. you want to believe, now take the next step

Well, I think there are a lot of concepts in Christianity that make sense; that said, fundamentally, you have to believe in JC or you are not a Christian... This is my dilemma...

It's not that I disbelieve, it's that I don't ascribe... It's kinda like, yeah maybe, but I don't know... And that is no way to follow a religion...

I do believe there is more than one path to get to heaven/nirvana/the beyond, etc... I don't see how God could be loving if it wasn't so...

I guess the best way I can explain it is that God gave man life but He can't look at sin because He is perfect. So since man sinned it seperated him God and God wanted to be near His creation so He sent His Song to die for them. So inotherwords since man could not live up to God's standards He sent them a way to Him. So it was God's grace that saved man. All man has to do is to excecpt God's grace and believe and he will be saved.

Even Tiervexx and i who differ on everything except that we both love swiss cheese will tell you that i know what im talking about if you want to argue scripture, and that i dont present a terribly biased opinion about it.

To get back to the original topic of the thread freakmonster is the worst poster on elite.

He is at least as ignorant and thick headed as curling but a thousand times more condescending.
