1st, 1 more strength week then im cycling out to hypertrophy training for about 8 weeks. my joints are finally feeling it. push pressed 245 for 3 for 5 sets and that hit my shoulders, wrists, and elbows hard.

as far as the rack, i worked out with the gym owner and his over 50 crew. built in motivation. hit 495. went right to 615 - killed it. right to 625 - killed it. then 630, then 635, and then got 640. my whole body hurts terribly. at least i got past my goal from last week. if i was alone i think i couldve hit it too. felt mentally prepared today. pulled from the same height as last week.

side not: used ammonia poppers today. havent in awhile. definately gets you amped yet extremely angry at the same time.
 
can sniffing the ammonia caps be in anyway dangerous to health? I would like to get some...

not that ive ever heard of but i have never specifically looked into it. im not too worried about it as its not what i would think of as habit forming.
 
I hear ya on the pain man. I did regular deads on tuesday for the first time in a long while and am still sore as fuck. Heavy lifting is not fun to get used to again, my tendons have been hurting all week as im not used to the heavy weights yet.

i love going heavy for phases at a time, its alot of fun. just the physical toll it takes is bad at times. i am still sore today. not nearly as bad as it was but its in all my joints from my shoulders to my elbows to wrists to fingers; from my neck to my hips to my knees to my ankles. im aware of all of them right now and my low back feels like bone on bone crunching though its painless.
