Crunches to remove belly fat?

Crunches or other ab work is good for your core strength, which you will need as the weight you're lifting gets heavier.

BUT.....

If you're wanting to get rid of stomach fat.....a diet is where it's at.
After you lose the excess weight you want to lose, your gains during a bulk are usually leaner too.

First, if you read my post I never said to not diet, as I dieted myself back down, I said to go ahead and do situps for other reasons.
Second, you're absolutely incorrect about visceral fat. Males gain it more than females, so maybe that's why you're mistaken. Hernias occur from a sudden tear, not the accumulation of fat over the years. People with stretched abdominal muscles for whatever reason are in fact more susceptible to hernias.

ogrellah, not to argue but I thought men had predopositions to androcoid fat patters, meaning around the gut and lower back on the external layer. Visceral fat acuumulation is not that common from what I have read

Do Crunches weighted and diet IMO

I'd like to hear Spatt's opinion on the matter.

Ah looks like she's already been here...
