Creatine Loading

I am rather small in size. IM only 5'6". I was thinking that 20g a day for a loading phase is too much for me at a time. What would you all say if I doubled the loading phase time with half the dose 10g (5g twice daily). (just to be sure im topping off peak absorbtion rather than wasting 10g a day or something like that)

so 7-8 days @ 10g a day.

then I would cut back 2-3g a day for maintenance.

would this be a good idea?

Tweaked, I would think you're nuts... either way. Okay, not nuts, but loading phases for creatine are not necessary. The concept from the inception of creatine has never really made much sense. Also, 2-3g/day probably isn't going to provide a whole lot of performance beneft.

Since you could be 5'6", 900lbs, giving just your height doesn't help much in dosing. However, I will say you need atleast about 10g a day. You can stay on that indefinitely, and adjust to what works for you, up/down either way. If anything, you may want to start at only 5g/day for a few days, and then move on to 10g, to give your body's intestinal tract a chance to get used to it.

i agree, loading's not necesary at all, i'd say 10 g a day is a good place to start broken up in 2 doses. I take mine after lifting and then b4 bedtime, but u can do whatever works for u...good luck bro
