you never run into normal people at the DMV. dont normal ppl need to get new plates, register cars? new DL? you never see anyone normal at all. There is the one DMV in LA that shares a waiting room with people who have restraining orders.... you sit in one big section as they call your number.

i have one friend who i rarely see who lives far away, and whenever he tells me stories he will say the people's names like i know them. and then after he will tell me a little bit about the people involved, and if i visit him he introduces me. i like it better that way.
