Or maybe because my long runs are increasing  I do enjoy them...I think it is the thought of 26.2 miles and not just 15 miles...lol very overwhelming

What is your longest run so far?

As you do marathons faster, they get easier. IE - it's a lot easier to do a 3 hour race than a 4 hour race.

hey gymgurl i have a six 12 week work out for marathon running. It is an intense work out. ill send it to you later on, let me know what you think of it...........

You will do fine GG...just do your best!
26.2 miles for you is a piece of cake :)

15 miles..

At least one 22+ run is pretty standard. Fueling is important - no not carbo loading but using gels on the training runs. 2 per hour or so. Possibly salt depending on the temps and your persperation.

Okay..I see one issue..not using enough gel.....will change that this weeked...well for temp range Im headed out to do a tempo run and it is 13 degrees. But I do always take a electrolyte supplemet about an hour before training.

Thats the beauty of setting difficult goals. Facing the fear and finishing. After weeks of training, and asking your self can I really do this,,, then after you cross the finish line, it's that much more of a sweet victory.

I think it is normal to be nervous, I am as sick as a dog from nerves two to three weeks out from a comp.
