Could you serve on a jury

I would gladely serve on that jury. But there would be no way in hell you could get me to convict him and i would be doing my damndest to convince everyone else on the jury to let him go. I saw on one of those real video show's where they were marching some child molester into court and as they past the phone's on the wall this guy turned and shot the vermin dead.Damn that made me feel good. Dont know what happened to the father after that though but hopefully they set him free.Oh yeah by the way it was the father of the kid that got molested, that was on the phone.Sorry

but once you got on the jury, you would have strict instructions from the judge on what to convict him of

You couldnt go on why he did it.....you would just have to answer the questions honestly
Thats why I wouldnt even go on the jury....because I dont see anything he did wrong. He helped the taxpayers....and saved more children

If you were called for jury duty the lawyers would have asked you enough questions to elimate you.

It's not to say it's a bad thing but they will try and get remove those with a preconceived notion of what justice should be for the particular case at hand.

Oh hell no.I know all about the jury selection and would play it real cool.Trust me i would want to be on that jury

Is it really? I'm only 19 and I'll admit I don't know much about the court systems.

In court you have two choices to take an oath on the bible or to make an affirmation if you are not religious therefore no one forces you to put your hand on the bible in Australia that is. I am not sure if the USA is the same. Here is an example:

Oath
1. “I SWEAR** BY ALMIGHTY GOD*** THAT THE EVIDENCE I SHALL GIVE WILL BE THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH”

Affirmation
2. “I SOLEMNLY AND SINCERELY DECLARE AND AFFIRM THAT THE EVIDENCE I SHALL GIVE WILL BE THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.”

Yes. If the guy made a decision to kill two people, child molesters or not, then he has to do his time. It wouldn't be a nice trial but someone has to do it.

I have had jury duty one time. I hated it also. But i was called to court on a number of times to see if i should serve on a jury......
They dismissed me one time by just looking at me.
I would have to answer the questions honestly....and they wouldnt put me in the jury box....at least the prosecution wouldnt....I know killing is bad, but i also know that raping and/or killing children is worse....and i would know his motive for killing the rapist, and i couldnt convict him

They ask you questions to see whether or not you are biased. You would not be chosen for the jury.
